Perry Barr arts forum host their first event, ‘Mixed Messages’

Perry Barr arts forum, a network set up to bring together artists and youth organisations in the Perry Barr district, are hosting their first event.

A variety of activities are being held at the event including Arts, music, poetry, dance, photography and lots more.

Mixed messages will take place on the 23rd March from 2pm – 7pm at Rookery Sports and Arts Centre and is a free event.

The event is funded by Birmingham city council and other organisations such as Birmingham royal ballet and Nu century arts.

The project manager for the event, Mark Rogers says “We have a line-up of excellent young local artists that include musicians, singers, rappers, dancers and poets. Some of these artists will also be conducting workshops for our younger audience. In there will be visual arts exhibitions and other eye-catching and fun loving activities performed by our younger artists. This event is for all members of our community to get involved in”
